In another busy week for Berkeley-founded startups, a Google competitor raised $250M, a chiplet foundry raised $100M, and a tech-enabled wealth advisor raised $26.5M.

We believe Berkeley has the most entrepreneurial ecosystem in the world. However, we recognize that this ecosystem can sometimes feel fragmented. Weili Dai has had a busy few weeks, this week we announced a company she co-founded Silicon Box had raised $100M and just a few weeks ago we announced that another company she founded DreamBig Semi Conductor had raised $75M.

$175M raised in just a few weeks across two companies!

This is no surprise though when you realize that Weili also co-founded Marvell Technology Group (NASDAQ: MRVL) that has a market cap of $53B and is one of the worlds biggest chips business.
